Tiernan Gold is a Canadian company focused on advancing its 100%-owned Volcan Gold Project. The project is strategically located in the Atacama Region of Chile, on the Maricunga gold belt, a jurisdiction that has a long-established history of mining with a number of operating mines, new mines under construction and major projects being developed. With a large land package totaling four mining concessions of 5,400 hectares and surrounding exploration concessions of 53,000 hectares there is substantial opportunity for new resource discovery.
The Company is privately owned by Hochschild Mining Holdings UK (“Hochschild”). Hochschild are evaluating a range of alternatives to maximize the value of Tiernan and the Project for Hochschild, which could include a sale of the Company or its assets, merger or business combination with another party or other strategic alternatives.
